Domestic Appliances are frequently made of sheet metal. Refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, microwave ovens, & stoves use mild steel and stainless stel in their construction.

Spot, projection and seam welding are widely used in the construction of their bodies or components. Depending on the volume of production, individual operations may use standard machines with tooling, or a special purpose machine may be provided.
