> CALIBRATION

Calibration is a verification that the machine has not suffered a subtle drift in performance, principally that the current and force continue to correspond to the expectations from given settings on your control. This could have occurred through an increase in resistance in the secondary circuit, increased friction in the head, or some other cause.

Calibration requires an initial service of the machine followed by measurements to establish its performance. This then serves as a bench mark to check against on all subsequent calibration visits. Most prime contractors require their machines – and those of their suppliers – to be checked on at least a 6 monthly basis.
