One of a pair of Sciaky spot welding robot cells, with a Fanuc RJ 2 robot and Portable Welding gun, making a left or right handed components. Rear spring shackle assembly, for the Ford Transit van, which is made in Genk, Belgium and Southampton, UK.
Loading and unloading is in masked time so the robot is fully utilised. The robot has cycle time of 90 seconds, which is divided between the two operations, 50 seconds in tool 1, and 40 secondss in tool 2.
The integrated Sciaky control uses an Allen Bradley PLC and a Pilz touch screen for operator interface.
With a fully enclosed guard, the operator is protected from the robot, and any weld splash. Access to tolls is through the two fully interlocked rise and fall doors. Maintenance or tip change is through the interlocked rear door.
