> STEEL PRODUCTION

Steel production is usually a continuous process, which requires the ability to join coils.

This coil joining can be done by travelling head seam welders or spot welders.
Depending on the production, these machines may travel several metres, to join a wide coil. Down stream processing of narrower coils may use a simpler process with a single spot welder moved across, or a twin head machine, programmed to weld a pattern. Machines can work on mild or stainless steel, usually for a customer defined range of thicknesses.
