> SY-SOL TRI
The SY-SOL TRI is a modern microprocessor based weld control for three phase frequency conversion spot or seam/roll-spot resistance welding machines.
The SY-SOL-TRI is based upon the very successful mono-phase SY-SOL welding control, of which many hundreds are installed. It has been adapted to the special needs of 3-phase machines – special thyristors and firing network – but retains all the features of the original control as listed below.
The SY-SOL-TRI is suitable for operation of Sciaky aerospace and commercial 3-phase machines of any size. It is a complete system and includes a mains circuit breaker and interconnection cables.
The SY-SOL-TRI programmable sequence unit is under a lockable transparent door.
The mains circuit breaker with no-volt trip is interlocked with the door
The interconnection panel, three water-cooled 3-phase thyristors, their firing
units and water-cooled load resistors are housed inside the cabinet.
Principal Features:
> Integral keypads and backlit screen
> Text and graphics display
> 64 weld programs held in memory On-board and external program selection
> Automatic Voltage Control (AVC)
> Logic Inputs (24) and outputs (16)
> RS 232 port for printer or PC connection
> RS 485 port for local networking
More Features:
> Individual events can be Pin locked out to prevent interference
> The system can be locked to prevent unauthorised access
> A screen oscilloscope function is available
> Fault messages are displayed
The SY-SOL-TRI will operate with:
> Water flow switches – to inhibit operation at inadequate flow
> Water conservation – allows water flow only when ready to weld
> Air pressure switch – to inhibit operation at inadequate pressure
> Operator boxes – to give operator full machine control
> Emergency stop – to isolate machine in case of problem
> Optional – Laptop power sockets and integrated Water temperature
monitoring
Options:
> Secondary current monitoring – from a sensing coil on the secondary
> Electrode force monitoring – from a sensor mounted on the machine
frame
> Electronic Pressure Regulators – allow pressure setting and monitoring
> SY-SOL TRI WIN Software site licence for communication with a PC (data
saving or creation)

for quality control it allows band width customer set ranges for current, air pressure, and force if the machine is so equipped.
External supplies to the machine of air pressure, and water flow can be monitored with appropriate sensors, and the machine stopped if there are anomalies. A fault report would be shown on a screen in such an event.
