> TWIN STATION ROBOT WELDING CELL

A twin station Robot Welding Cell, making a Hood latch assembly and two towing hook assemblies.
This machine has one long straight fixed tool table with one tool in station one and, two tools in station two.
Each tool has automatic part detection, clamping and unclamping, and ejection of the completed assemblies.
The automatic swinging weld curtains offer protection to the operator from UV rays and weld spatter. The light curtains ensure he can safely load and unload components in masked time in one station while the robot is welding in the other station. This ensures that the robot is used to its full potential.
Sciaky have designed and built an integrated system incorporating a Fanuc arc-mate 120i robot with a Daiden MIG power source and Binzel torch, all controlled by an Omron PLC and touch screen.
Welding quality is improved because the torch nozzle is automatically cleaned. At settable intervals the robot moves to the Binzel reamer and then to an anti-spatter spray system.
The cell has solid guards on three sides with an interlocked key exchange system for authorised access. When combined with the light curtains and weld screens it allows Sciaky to CE mark the system.
Sciaky program the PLC and robot to ensure all the equipment is compatible and gives optimum performance.
